What do i do and when do i text him?

so this guy lives a hour away from me but our youthgroups are sorta like combined so tonight we were snowtubing together and people kept sayin he liked me. but it wasn't just us two other people were with us. so i kept sayin no i don't like him cause they keep saying hes a total jerk but hes really nice to me and we joke around alot. i was texting him then afterwards and when i said i had to go he was like awww ok bye then he texted me like a minute later and said text me later. So #1 what should i do and #2 when should i text him again? tomorrow? i don't know...im gonna see him next month for this thing where we sleep over at his church, thanks! sorry its kinda long :)
