People who have read Ophelia by Lisa Klein?

Does Klein's version take place in the same time period as Hamlet by Shakespeare? And is it written in a more present talk and not in Shakespearean? Also I have not read Hamlet.... but am a big theater kid... but present day stuff. This is a choice for my summer reading and I'm trying to decide....
